COCKTAILS IN BLUE
December 20, 2021
Whether toasting to the year behind (or better year approaching!), the gathering of friends and loved ones, a sacred tradition, or simply making merry, celebratory cocktails—and mocktails—have become synonymous with holiday gatherings. We recently made a batch of gin fizzes for a party in the barn using our Wild Blueberry Honey Syrup (a blend of organic wild blueberries, wildflower honey, and organic lemon juice). Find other delectable ways to use this syrup in our holiday recipe cards. And raise your glass to bringing a bit of Maine home for the holidays.

Blueberry Gin Fizz
This is a classic, effervescent New Orleans cocktail with a Maine twist.
Yield: One serving (can easily be scaled up for a group)
Ingredients:
2 ounces gin (replace with extra soda for mocktail)
1 ounce Turtle Rock Wild Blueberry Honey Syrup
3/4 ounce lemon juice
1 egg white
Ice, as needed
1 1/2 ounces club soda or seltzer
Lemon twist or blueberries, for garnishing
Instructions:

1) Combine gin, syrup, lemon juice, and egg white in a cocktail shaker, thermos, or other lidded container and shake vigorously until frothy, about 20 seconds.
